Our Story

Australian owned business, based on the Mornington Peninsula.

Our story is like so many others when what seems like an avalanche of curveballs come your way. You think you have it under control trying to juggle the ever-increasing demands of day-to-day life, but suddenly you’re hit with major health scares and consecutive losses of loved ones over a short period of time.  We needed to hit pause.

In that moment it reminded us just how precious life is.

Why not celebrate every day, make the most of every moment, appreciate where you are and who you are with. Treat yourself. Inspired by the beauty around us, Peninsula Republic was born.

Our Approach

Fundamental to our approach is the deliberate consideration behind everything we do. Designing every element of our line, from product to the bespoke packaging, is integral to our identity. Equally this applies to our partnerships.  We have chosen to work with Australian & New Zealand businesses, as well as leading manufacturers to source materials from across the globe . We bring you products that reflect our brand and are worthy of being a part of your special moments in life.

Beyond product, we have also consciously chosen to partner with local businesses and agencies on all other elements, from creative, photography, web development, marketing, right down to our packaging.

Our Commitment

Our mission is to ensure our products are produced in a way that minimises their environmental impact, designing timeless pieces that won’t disappear with a season. We create luxurious products made with premium materials designed to last longer, sourced from responsible suppliers. We produce selective pieces in limited quantities in order to certify quality and ensure sustainable practices are adhered to.

Below are just some examples of the steps we’ve taken to deliver on our commitment to sustainable & ethical business practices.

We have consciously made choices on raw materials and natural fibres in our products, such as our 100% alpaca natural yarn in our throw and the use of cashmere & merino wool in our knitwear products.

We work with a Leather Working Group (LWG) approved tanner for our leather products, whereby they must adhere to social responsibility metrics and environmental standards for production.

Many of our products come in a cotton calico bag as a more sustainable material for packaging, with the benefit of further reuse from a variety of applications.

Use of recyclable materials for our packaging, in our boxes and board for our swing tags.

We have partnered with eco friendly businesses for our e-com packaging, using recyclable & compostable mailers, stickers and labels.
